Narayanaswamy, CEO, HANDS mobilized farmers to promote border plantations and agroforestry, encouraging tree planting along field boundaries to protect crops, reduce soil erosion, and improve soil fertility. Agroforestry supports diversified income, fuelwood and fodder availability, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. Highlights 1,385 farmers mobilized through 25 farmer meetings to covering 65 villages in Anantapur, Nandyala and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema in AP 28 orientation meetings conducted across 6 mandals 25 community sessions under the Carbon Program covering 120 villages in 12 mandals 125 Village-Level Agroforestry Committees (VL-AFCs) formed Community fund contributions ensured local ownership and sustainability
